Therapy for Kids & Teens
As a psychologist, I use evidence-based treatments that have been shown to help children and teens develop new skills, overcome challenges, and build confidence. Therapy begins with getting to know your child or teen, understanding their strengths and concerns, and identifying goals that are meaningful to them and your family. Together, we'll learn practical skills and take small, manageable steps toward lasting change.
For younger children, meaningful progress often starts with supporting parents and caregivers. Because young children spend most of their time with family, changes in the home environment and day-to-day interactions can have a powerful impact on behavior and emotional well-being. With older children and teens, treatment typically includes a combination of individual time and caregiver involvement, tailored to the needs of each family.
Many children and teens notice meaningful improvement within 12-20 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. My goal is to help young people develop a toolkit of skills they can continue to use long after therapy ends, allowing them to navigate future challenges with greater confidence, flexibility, and resilience.
